Celebrating Finley for S.I.T.

It's been awhile since I've posted as I'm in my busy season at work. But it's nice taking a break and making a layout. This week has a really neat sketch at Sketches In Thyme. I struggle sometimes to get multiple photos on a page but this sketch made it so easy. You also can't go wrong with photos of a baby eating birthday cake.
Here is the sketch:
There is a really nice prize up for grabs this month so head over to the blog and upload your layout!

Pattern Talk Layout for S.I.T.

Hello everyone! I've made a layout from one of our summer vacations. We went to the Science Center in Wisconsin Dells and had a fun time checking out all the stations. It was definitely low key compared to a big city but perfect for my daughter's age group.
Here is the sketch. Go check it out and play along at Sketches In Thyme!

Twinsies Layout

I've been rotating through different colletions lately so I thought I should work with my Maggie Holmes supplies. I went through my cut files until this one from Paper Issues caught my eye. I thought the flowers were similar to the paper. I'm sure glad I like the final product because it sure took a long time!
I debated putting some white gesso behind the flowers but I chickened out. I used thread instead.

Paper Issues cut file

I have so many birthday pictures and never get around to scrapping them, so the More Than Words challenge gave me the push I needed. The challenge is to scrap about birthdays and to use two tags on your layout. I also used a sketch from Stuck Sketches.
